The History Of
Share the Commons (StC)

Supercheckers was created by StC creator, Christopher Wroth in 1979.

Some games were made with the help of a local box company and they were sold in Sonoma County.  A few games were sent to some game companies and an offer was received from Golden Games to publish the game.

Chris was given a $25,000 royalty advance to sign with them, at a royalty rate of 5%.

Kings Court was born.

The Fall of the Court

Golden Games sold about 240,000 games, renamed “King’s Court” before Hasbro acquired the game from them.  Golden had decided to rebrand the game as “Supercheckers” and had begun marketing it as a companion game to chess and checkers – just before Hasbro entered the picture.  Chris had initially refused to agree with the license transfer to Hasbro, unless there was a guarantee that Hasbro would market the game as “Supercheckers”.

Supercheckers

After several letters back and forth between his lawyer and their corporate lawyers, Chris agreed to sign off without any guarantees.  Hasbro chose not to publish the game and it went off the market.

But the KING was not dead, just transforming into SUPERCHECKERS.

The Rise of the Frog

Then, in 2016, Chris partnered with a mobile game developer to create a mobile game application called “Frog Fun”.  It was Supercheckers played with a froggy theme.  Chris and his partner got the app into the app stores, but never got enough downloads to have a successful app.  It was then decided to do a tabletop game. With the help of a wonderful designer,

Share the Commons emerged into being.

A Game with a Purpose

The underlying philosophy and message of Share the Commons is that humanity must leave behind this division into 195 competing and warring countries, and 160 competing national fiat currencies – and unite as

One Free, Fair, and Alive World.

We have all learned, from birth, that politicians are the leaders.  They will someday solve humanity’s problems.  However, while politicians meet and talk, the people having by far the biggest impact on our world are scientists and inventors.  They are the people who create electricity, telephones, cars, planes, radio, television, computers, artificial intelligence, and, well, the list goes on and on.

Now, the scientist and inventors have created a solution to humanity’s biggest problems.  Problems like warfare, poverty, and the climate crisis will all soon be solved because of their reinvention of the biggest resource that we all share – MONEY!

The reinvention of money (cryptocurrency) is transitioning us all to a world where MONEY is free, fair, and alive.  Where all Spaceship Earth passengers receive a Universal Basic Income of cryptocurrency to ensure food and shelter stability, to ensure freedom to move about on Spaceship Earth, and to live a lifestyle that is free fair and alive.

The purpose of StC and Share the Commons game is to educate and advocate for this transition.  The transition is already underway.  It is called Worldcoin.  Our purpose is to convince YOU to learn about Worldcoin.  After learning about Worldcoin and Universal Basic Income, we ask you to become an advocate for this transition to a world that is free, fair, and alive.  Thanks for reading.
